When you know what you're looking for, search is just retrieval — you have keywords, you throw them in, you get answers. But the most valuable search happens when you don't yet know how to ask. AI search changes this: you can use vague descriptions to find concepts you can't name. So "not knowing what you're looking for" is actually true discovery — you find not a confirmation of the known, but something you didn't know you needed.
